Knitting party!!

Last night, some of my friends and I got together and had a little knitting party! It was a blast! Those who knew how to knit were teaching girls who didn't, and the more advanced knitters were teaching new things to the less advanced knitters! It was fun to get together and share our craft! We had some beautiful projects finished and begun. It was magical! :)

My yoke for my tunic is almost complete! I hope to have it finished today! Then I'm going to finish the other of Kate's gloves. Then I'll start my own!! I bought this lovely burnt orange yarn! It's Cashmerino Aran by Debbie Bliss, and it is pretty much the softest and prettiest yarn I think I have ever seen! I also need to work on my mommy's scarf, Adam's Christmas present (which I haven't begun), and my future-sister-in-law's christmas present as well (pictures to come later on all three of those projects)!!

Well, I had better get knitting! TTFN!!

Knit one, purl two, knit one, purl two...

I've recently fallen in love with knitting all over again. My friends and I stumbled upon a yarn store in Muncie!!! Danner's: Yarns * Gifts * Books! I know where all my paychecks and Christmas presents are coming from!!!

Also, one of my friends introduced me to an online store that makes accesseries for knitters! It's called Blue Kitty Designs. They have lots of pretty things and I've already found some of my friend's Christmas presents!

I also have a love for knittinghelp.com and knitty.com, they are both fantastic sites that I want to share with the world!! I hope you enjoy them and have a great weekend!!!

One down, One to go...

My dear friend requested a pair of fingerless gloves.
So I took her to a yarn store and let her pick her materials.
She chose this yarn:

I got the pattern from Knitty.
This is the left glove finished:

And this is part of the Yoke I'm working on for my Cable Luxe Tunic.
The pattern is from Lion Brand Yarns. I love it.

The current works...

This is item number 1: My Irish Hiking Scarf >>>>>>>

It is beautiful and will be sooooo warm once I actually complete it!!! (This was also my first attempt at cabling,
I'd say it was a successful attempt!!!)

You can find the pattern at: http://www.helloyarn.com/irishhikingcarf.htm

This is item number 2: My Crayola Hat

I call it that because it reminds me of crayons. It is nowhere near being finished... I adapted a few normal hat patterns to make this one, I hope it works. If it does not, I will tear it out, and start again!

That is all for now... I have two other projects on my needles, but they are too precious to me to disclose at this time... Have a great night! I'm off to meet my dreams for tea!

Coming Soon!

As soon as I get a chance, I'll update with what is currently on my needles!
